Niels has been in the managed futures business for over 30 years but he is perhaps most widely known for the Top Traders Unplugged podcast that he started in an effort to “democratise the hedge fund industry” and offer guidance and opinions on running systematic trend following models to a wider audience.

The STA’s own Alistair Philip will be introducing Niels who will give a brief overview of trend following and then have more of a fireside chat with Alistair to encourage an open discussion and dig into some of the benefits and drawbacks to running systematic trend following models as well as take questions from the audience.

Niels quite openly shares a wealth of information with his listeners, most recently deep diving into the details of how they designed the trend following system they ran at his CTA which managed up to $100M for clients.

Questions from the audience will be very much encouraged and we invite members to send questions ahead of the event to info@technicalanalysts.com with the subject “Questions for Niels” and we’ll be sure to include them.

The Most Critical Economic and Financial Time Period of Our Generation

During the course of this presentation you will learn how markets and geopolitics repeat with absolute precision. You will know how to forecast forthcoming panics and booms.

Andrew Pancholi predicted the 2007 global financial crisis using this methodology along with the commodity bull runs of 2008 and 2010. He also believes that we are in a modern day revolution.
