The STA is very fortunate to have the world’s best speakers on technical analysis, trading and fund management address its London conferences and monthly meetings.
For example John Murphy, Robert Prechter, Martin Pring, Dr Alexander Elder, Tom DeMark, Linda Raschke, Anthony Bolton (Fidelity), Hugh Hendry, Tony Plummer and the chief technical analysts/strategists from major investment banks such as HSBC, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Nomura, UBS, RBS, Lloyds etc. have all addressed STA members.
They continue to speak at the STA’s monthly meetings and to teach on STA educational courses.
Richard Adcock is managing director, Adcock Analysis, an independent technical research service, offering subscriptions for weekly reports and daily updates, on FX and rates markets. Adcock Analysis Ltd has been voted top independent technical research house for FX in 2017 & 2018, and Richard Top Fixed Income Technical Strategist, in the Technical Analyst magazine poll for 2009, 2011 & 2013, as well as runner up in 2010 and 2012. Top spot in the best Fixed Income Technical Analyst section of the Extel Awards was also achieved during his time with UBS.
Bill started investing in 1970. He retired from legal practice in 1999, and has been trading ever since. In 2001 he became technical editor of Chart Insight published by Hemscott, and in 2004 started his own website Chart-Guide.com, now part of Rivington Street Holdings plc, specializing in Elliott wave index trading.

Dr Keith Anderson worked in systems development for some years, latterly at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, before becoming interested in finance as a private investor. He is currently a Lecturer in Finance at the York Management School, University of York.
Thomas joined JPMorgan in September 2009, taking over the role of FX Technical Strategist. His main focus is on G10 and European currencies where he develops trading and investment strategies, mainly on the basis of Elliott and Fibonacci-applications.
Zaheer is a full time trend trader and a member of The Dynamic Trader community since 2007. He specialises in FX, stocks and commodities. Zaheer is regularly invited to guest speak on his much sought-after but little understood approach to trading and also contributes to FX Street and FX Trader Magazine. He first presented at the STA back in 2014.
Stéphanie is Senior Technical Analyst, joining SG CIB in 2006 where she first developed the Commodity technical analysis before developing and coordinating the cross-asset technical analysis with a special focus on Forex and Rates. Stéphanie has 15 years experience in technical analysis on various financial markets and from 2000 to 2005 she lectured technical analysis at Paris IX Dauphine University to BSc students.
Stephen M Barrett is the author of the very controversial book “From Plato to Wall Street”. It was written as a result of a trade gone wrong in 1983 which prompted him to investigate TIME. From his decoding of Gann’s work “The Tunnel thru the Air” to the mysteries of the Platonic Schools, he has uncovered a remarkable mathematical matrix which determines the Time Cycles for Stocks and Commodities. During his talk, Stephen will show participants Gann’s Master Time Cycle.
Nick Batsford has 20 years experience of financial markets, including dealing on LIFFE and the LSE. He started with software vendor Market Age plc and then worked for various trading and brokerage companies.
Cyril Baudrillart is a Senior Investment Advisor working for BBSP Partners, a European Equity Brokerage firm specialized in market timing consulting. He has been a full-time technical analyst since 1995, first as a buy-side analyst and then as a sell-side technician. He was Exane BNP Paribas’ chief technical analyst between 2000 and 2010.
Thierry is the former president and co-founder of AFATE, the French equivalent of the STA. He is the co-author of a widely read French technical analysis book. Mr Bechu worked as a technical analyst for several years before being a proprietary trader for Dresdner Bank and Commerzbank.
Larry M. Berman is a Co-Founder of ETF Capital Management and the Independent Investor Institute, and brings over twenty eight years of industry experience to the role of Chief Investment Officer. Larry is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. Larry graduated from York University with a BA in Economics and lectures on behavioural finance and technical analysis around the world.

The best known, and arguably the best performing fund manager of his generation, having read engineering at Cambridge, Anthony opted for the City, cutting his teeth during the turbulent markets of the 1970’s at Keyser Ullmann.
Dr Dmytro Bondar holds a PhD in electronics engineering. He has over seven years of experience working as a technical strategist in the City of London with most of it in fixed income research at the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Linda Bradford Raschke has been a full time professional trader since 1981, when she began her career as a market maker on the exchange floor. She is President of LBRGroup Inc, a registered CTA since 1991, and President of LBR Asset Management. She has been the principle trader for the Granat Fund LLC since 2004, and her hedge fund was ranked 17th out of 4,5000 by BarclaysHedge for the best five year performance.
